Rules

The player with the lowest sum of 5 Intermediate and 5 Expert games is the winner. Each Expert game not completed will be given a penalty of the worst game completed plus 40 seconds. Not completing enough Intermediate or at least 3 Expert games will result in a DNF.

Details

The competition was organised by Gergely Nagy and took place on 26th February 2005 at the Corvinus University of Budapest, within the Department of Information Systems. The tournament started at 1430 and players had 3 hours to play minesweeper. During the competition judges came and checked the Clone history files. There was no display, so no one knew who was winning until the results were announced at the end.

Budapest 2005 was the first ever minesweeper tournament.

The minesweeper version used was Clone 0.96.
